The markets operate with a key objective of providing a viable/sustainable outlet for small local businesses . All produce must be sold by the person, family member or employee directly involved with growing, rearing, catching, or making the product.
Collaborative selling is permitted, but must be in accordance with the market's charter for joint stalls. Product origin must be clearly designated. Market management must approve the arrangements
Pricing must be clearly displayed, weight and measures accurate and scales compliant with regulation. The origins of the produce are to be clearly communicated, distinguishing the identity of farmer, farm, region, processor or food manufacturing business. Stalls must only sell the items listed on their application unless by prior arrangement.
The market management may inspect any stalls to ensure compliance. At the discretion of market management non-compliant stallholders may be removed.
